After years in the planning phase, Trademark Property is moving forward with its ambitious redevelopment of a major Arlington retail center. According to the Dallas Business Journal, construction on the rebranded "Anthem" project is set to begin August 3, marking a significant investment in the Arlington market and representing a major shift for the North Texas real estate development sector. The $135 million initiative will transform the site formerly known as Lincoln Square into a modern mixed-use destination.
The first phase of work will involve demolishing approximately 70,000 square feet of existing structures to make way for the new vision. Once complete, Anthem will span 404,000 square feet and will feature a diverse tenant mix including retail and food and beverage options, along with intentionally designed public spaces. The development plan also emphasizes community-oriented amenities, incorporating public art installations and a curated music system throughout the property—features increasingly common in reimagined shopping destinations across the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
This Arlington project reflects the broader trend of retail redevelopment in the metroplex, as property owners and developers pivot away from traditional shopping centers toward experiential, mixed-use environments. For Dallas-area business leaders and commercial real estate professionals, the Anthem development demonstrates investor confidence in the Arlington submarket and the viability of transforming aging retail properties into vibrant community gathering spaces.
