PILF Restaurant Group, the Dallas-based operator behind popular regional concepts Cane Rosso, Zoli's Pizza, and Thunderbird Pies, is making a strategic shift at its Frisco portfolio. Cow Tipping Creamery, which operated as a soft-serve destination at 3685 The Star Boulevard for ten years, closed its doors on July 14. The space will be reimagined as The Imperial Room, a new cocktail lounge slated to debut in early September, according to Culturemap Dallas.
The new bar will operate adjacent to the Frisco Cane Rosso location, allowing PILF to leverage its existing footprint at The Star while diversifying its beverage offerings. The move comes as the restaurant group renewed its lease at the mixed-use development, signaling continued confidence in the venue as a dining and entertainment destination for North Dallas diners.
This transition reflects broader trends among regional restaurant operators seeking to optimize their real estate investments through complementary concepts. By replacing the ice cream concept with a cocktail-focused venue, PILF can capture different dayparts and demographics while maintaining operational synergies with its neighboring pizza concept.
