As temperatures rise across North Texas, 7-Eleven is capitalizing on summer demand with a new loyalty-focused promotion strategy. The chain will launch its "Slurpee Drink Happy Hour" leading up to Slurpee Day on July 11, offering large Slurpees for just $1 at select locations, though the offer is restricted to members of the company's 7Rewards or Speedy Rewards programs.

The daily promotion runs from 3 to 6 p.m. on weekdays through August 25 at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations across the country, including multiple Dallas-area convenience stores. According to Fast Company, the time-limited window creates an afternoon incentive for customer traffic during traditionally slower hours—a strategic move that benefits both the retailer and consumers seeking affordable refreshment.

Beyond the flagship Slurpee discount, 7-Eleven is layering additional summer incentives into its loyalty ecosystem. Members can purchase Arizona Iced Tea or juice for 99 cents and score Big Gulps for 59 cents. The company is also rolling out an exclusive Arizona Iced Tea Blue Raspberry Slurpee flavor and launching a nationwide Slurpee Truck sweepstakes starting June 24, where rewards members can enter by gaming on the 7-Eleven app or making in-store purchases.

For Dallas retailers watching loyalty program strategies, 7-Eleven's approach underscores a broader trend: tying discount offers to enrollment drives customer database growth and repeat visits. New customers can join 7Rewards for free via the mobile app, removing friction from the enrollment process and positioning the chain to deepen engagement through data-driven marketing throughout the summer season.
